Q. What geographic area do you cover?
A. We work throughout south-east Queensland, northern New South Wales and Toowoomba.
Q. What rides do you offer?
A. Everything from the Sizzler through to jumping castles. We even have a very cool Simulator that really teases the senses.
Q. How does a school fete make money from rides? They cost a lot to hire.
A. We recommend schools new to fetes go for a percentage: perhaps 20% of takings. We’ll include a couple of extra rides and help build up the fete so that it’s more of a sure thing. It’s a better option for an ‘unknown’ outcome and takes the risk of rain stopping play still costing you the flat fee.
Q. How can we beat ticket cheats?
A. Never buy generic tickets from the local newsagent. Kids can do that too and in a rush, their tickets will pass as the real ones, giving them free rides. Affordable Amusement Rides prints tickets especially for your event, at no extra cost.
Q. What other services are offered?
A. We can provide sno-cones, soft drinks, hot dogs, popcorn, slushies, churros, fairy floss, stage hire, balloons; even face painters!
Q. What’s the best advice you can offer a fete committee?
A. Focus on the drawcards. Rides and food are the big money spinners. Arts and crafts are ancillary.
